Who publishes it
Bathroom Remodel Rockford is published by N5 Studio, a web studio run by Ryan Nesheim in Rockford, Illinois. N5 Studio built the site, wrote the pages and checked the sources. It is a bathroom remodeling information and quote request site for Rockford and Winnebago County, Illinois. It is not a remodeling company and does not do the work itself.
How quote requests are handled
When you call, text or send the quote form, the request comes to the site publisher, who replies with next steps. No company is confirmed to do the work in your area yet, so nothing is booked or started until you have agreed to a written price. The steps are on the how it works page.
Where the numbers come from
Every figure on the site has a source, linked where it appears. The research behind this site was done on November 3, 2026.
- Prices: national cost guides from Angi, This Old House and HomeAdvisor, each published or updated within the last twelve months, with the guide's own date shown next to the number. No cost guide publishes a Rockford bathroom price. The nearest local figures are the 2025 Cost vs. Value report for Chicago, which also gives the share of cost recouped at resale, and they are labeled Chicago wherever they appear. Older cost pages, contractor blogs and franchise sites are left out.
- Illinois law: the Home Repair and Remodeling Act (written contracts, the consumer rights pamphlet, insurance and the cancellation right for buyers 65 and older), the Plumbing License Law, the Illinois State Plumbing Code on showers and sewage ejectors, the Capital Development Board on the statewide code baseline, and the Attorney General on contractors.
- Federal and code rules: the EPA lead-safe rule for homes built before 1978, the 2021 International Residential Code on bathroom ceiling height, and the USGS scale for water hardness.
- Tax and program rules: the Homestead Improvement Exemption, the Illinois Department of Revenue on the disabled persons exemption, the IHDA Home Repair and Accessibility Program, and the City of Rockford's home repair programs, each with its status as its own page states it.
- Local rules: the City of Rockford, the City of Loves Park, the Village of Machesney Park, the villages of Roscoe, Rockton, Cherry Valley, Winnebago, Pecatonica, Durand and New Milford, the City of South Beloit and the Winnebago County Building Division, plus each town's water quality report. Their fee schedules are undated or years old on their own sites, so we state the rule and tell you to confirm dollar figures.
- Town numbers: the U.S. Census Bureau's ACS 2024 5-year estimates (2020-2024) via Census Reporter, covering 14 places and the rural townships: housing age, owners and renters, and owner households headed by someone 65 or older.
Where an office publishes nothing, its page says so rather than guessing. A few items carry a note because the sources did not fully settle them: the county's code edition (its codes page looks old), whether a same-spot fixture swap is exempt outside Rockford, and how Loves Park applies its plumbing rule to owners. None of the water utilities we checked publishes a hardness figure, so the site does not print one. There is no Illinois income tax credit for accessibility work that we could confirm, so the site does not mention one. If something is out of date, the source link on that page is the place to check, and the quote form reaches us.
What this site does not claim
It shows no customer reviews and no star ratings, because it has none of its own. It names no staff, gives no founding year, lists no street address and offers no warranty of its own. It does not say anyone is licensed, certified or insured. The photos show bathrooms, fixtures and work in progress; none of them is presented as a specific job, customer or crew. Prices are ranges from published guides, not promises; the price that counts is the one in your written contract.
